SunChrom SpectraFlow 501

SpectraFlow 501 UV MonitorSunChrom SpectraFlow 501 UV HPLC Detector and UV flow cells for capillary microHPLC
The SpectraFlow 501 is a simple, reliable HPLC UV detector with features that are common in much more expensive detectors. Besides the broad spectral range (190-740nm), several time constants, and the choice of ten flow cells to accommodate a broad range of flow rates, the SpectraFlow 501 has an option using fiber optics to allow the positioning of the flow cell remotely from the electronic module. This capability offers the detector to be used similarly to a diode array for scanning in a temperature controlled environment such as a column oven to minimize refractive index effects.

The detector offers dual analog outputs for both an absorbtion and spectral scan. It also allows for time-based programming of such parameters as autozero, wavelength, and spectral scanning. The autozero function is unique because the output can be made to set the zero at the previous output level. This capability maintains baseline integrity throughout the entire chromatogram without baseline shifts during wavelength changes.

The SpectraFlow 501 keypad allows for a simple user interface without the use of multiple screens and extensive “soft” keys. The SpectraFlow 501 is a full featured UV detector that remains elegantly simple to use.

SunChrom UV Detector Flow Cells

SunChrom SpectraFlow 501 SunChrom UV Detector Flow Cells
Separation Associates offers a number of unique micro and nano flow cells specifically developed to fit into UV detectors besides the SpectraFlow 501. These very low volume flow cells are designed to minimize band broadening of samples that are separated on micro and nano HPLC systems. Micro and nano HPLC is generally associated with LC-MS and often it is useful to follow an accompanying UV trace. The SunChrom flow cells offer a researcher the capability to use an existing UV detector by merely replacing an existing flow cell with the appropriate SunChrom very low volume cells.
